Fusing influences of pop, rock, jazz, funk, and blues, Crazy Ivan is a new and distinct band with an original sound all our own. We made our start in Cincinnati several years ago and have been developing both as individual artists and as a musical ensemble ever since. With such a diverse range of musical interpretations, each one of us has come to find his own voice in the group. More than half of the group sings lead vocals at one point or another, and likewise most of us are active songwriters and lyricists. In the spring of 2004, we recorded We Scholars, our latest full-length album, on the campus of Xavier University. Now one year later, we hope to return to the recording studio in the coming months to birth new recordings that remain faithful to the creative growth and development we've experienced since We Scholars. If the NEWS page is any indication, Crazy Ivan is a band in motion - actively seeking new opportunities to share our energy and sound, while broadening our own perspectives through live performance.
As we gain momentum in the local original music scene, we are always receptive to new acts and venues which complement our unique style. If you are interested in booking or performing with Crazy Ivan, please email booking@crazyivanband.com and we'll correspond.
